Addiction Treatment
Therapy

Counseling and therapy are the cornerstones of any quality addiction treatment approach. Therapy addresses the symptoms and underlying reasons for the disease of addiction. It also aims to mend the consequences of substance abuse that have impacted their lives. Addiction requires individualized programs effectively targeted to rebuild the person for life after substance abuse.

During individual therapy, the person will work with a therapist to uncover their underlying triggers and psychological influences that led to addiction. The therapist helps them understand why and how it occurred, as well as helps them develop a plan going forward. Individual therapy is a private session where you can build a bond and reveal thoughts and feelings that are otherwise difficult to share with others.

Group therapy is done with a room full of individuals in an addiction treatment program that is monitored by a therapist. This form of therapy provides support and helps people understand that they are not alone in their struggles. Group therapy promotes building bonds with others in the group and leads to encouragement in treatment.

Addiction is a disease that affects the entire family. Family therapy works to rebuild the bond that was broken during the active addiction. Families work with a therapist to discuss thoughts and feelings and work toward healing. When a family member suffers from addiction, there is usually a great deal of shame and guilt. Therapists work with the family to overcome these emotions and trains them on different therapeutic techniques for when their loved one comes back home after treatment.

Through cognitive behavioral therapy, you can identify unhelpful thought patterns and make positive changes. We use proven techniques to adjust behaviors process emotions and improve outlooks. Over the course of treatment, you gain coping strategies to better manage life’s challenges.
